Head of Engineering
What we're looking for?
We are looking for a world-class, hands-on Head of Engineering with at least 10 years of experience building production-grade systems and a minimum of 3-5 years in a people management role. You should be comfortable in the dynamic environment of an early-stage, VC-backed B2B SaaS startup and have a track record of scaling engineering teams from 10 to 100 people. Bonus points if you have experience in sales tech, quote-to-cash, or have been a founder yourself.
What you'll do:
- Lead, hire, and retain a world-class engineering team, doubling its size and fostering a culture of high standards and ownership.
- Take ownership of the technical roadmap and architecture, making key decisions on our data models and systems to support long-term scalability.
- Work closely with the founder/CEO, product, and GTM teams to deliver high-quality products and customer implementations on tight timelines.
- Provide tactical, hands-on coaching to engineers, conduct PR reviews, and unblock the team on complex technical challenges.
- Lead the charge in building an AI-first engineering organization, embracing AI tools and workflows to maximize team efficiency.
- Manage and mentor a team of 7+ engineers and contractors, ensuring high-velocity execution and maintaining a high quality bar.

Work experience
at least 10 years of experience building production-grade systems
3+ years of experience managing full-stack engineering teams.
Managed a team of at least 10-20 engineers at a VC-backed, B2B SaaS startup or larger horizontal SaaS companies (e.g., Asana, Atlassian, Smartsheet).
Still doing some hands-on programming in current role.
Experience owning system architecture and data model decisions.
Experience building and shipping production-grade systems.
Nice to have
GTM tech experience.
