We’re building an AI-powered back office for the skilled trades, starting with the $50B+ HVAC industry. We have strong traction and recently closed a $5M seed round to expand our engineering and product organization, as well as add additional services. We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who can help drive our next chapter of growth.

What you’ll build:

Examples of projects you might take on:

• New product screens and flows (jobs, customers, invoices, scheduling)
• UX polish and reliability improvements (loading states, edge cases, accessibility, performance)
• Auth + onboarding improvements (login, permissions, account linking)
• Workflow features like filters, search, kanban improvements, bulk actions
• AI chat UI: chat & tool result rendering, streaming responses, human review and feedback loops

Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements and propose innovative AI-native solutions to technical problems
• Write clean, scalable code
• Ship full-stack features across React (frontend) and Node (API/services)
• Respond to critical system issues
• For senior candidates: mentor team members and collaborate across teams, especially with product and subject-matter experts
• Work to understand user needs and solve design challenges creatively
• This is a remote role. Minimum 4 hours overlap with the team is expected (11am–3pm ET).

Qualifications:

• Experience building and shipping real software (level depending on experience)
• Strong React fundamentals (or equivalent modern frontend framework)
• Node.js backend fundamentals (REST and/or GraphQL), comfort working across the stack
• Experience with modern databases (MongoDB, Postgres, or equivalent)
• For senior candidates: experience building complex production systems
• Excitement about leveraging AI coding tools to build fast and at scale

Nice to have:

• Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., n8n, Lindy)
• Experience with HVAC or back-office business workflows
• Experience with mobile development, especially Expo and/or React Native
