About this role
The Design Engineer role operates at the intersection of engineering and design to deliver an extremely high-quality presentation experience to the world. In this role, you will be working on the core product and will take end-to-end responsibility to ship key features that will be used by all of our users.

Core responsibilities of this role:

• Lead end-to-end feature delivery from start to finish, ensuring high quality and
• attention to detail.
• Own the delivery of end-to-end experience, considering design, functional,
• interaction, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering to align on requirements, design
• direction, and scope.
• Deep dive on design problems, consider broader impacts, define and implement
• solutions that align with architectural standards.

Requirements:

• Seniority: 3–6 years of experience in UI development (flexible if portfolio is exceptional).
• Portfolio: Strong showcase of modern, interactive, and visually appealing designs with motion.
• Experience:
  • Worked at creative tools companies (Figma, Canva, Notion, Miro, Webflow, Framer, etc.).
  • Companies known for design excellence and product craft.
• Education: Preferably from a top university.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in React + TailwindCSS.
  • Able to write production-grade code (not just prototypes).
• Soft Skills:
  • First-principles thinker.
  • Humble, collaborative, receptive to direction.
• Location:
  • Must be based in San Francisco or open to relocation (relocation assistance available).
• Other:
  Must be both a designer and an engineer – able to ship product features with high polish.
