We are seeking a highly analytical and creative Growth Lead to spearhead customer
acquisition and retention initiatives. This role is a blend of hands-on campaign
execution and strategic, data-driven analysis. The ideal candidate will have a proven
track record in paid social media marketing, influencer partnerships, and CRM strategy,
coupled with a strong analytical background, ideally from a consulting environment.
This is a critical early hire for a stealth startup in the gaming collectibles space, backed
by prominent investors, and launching soon.
- 4 - 9 years of experience
- 2+ years in top-tier consulting/IB/PE and 2+ years in a startup growth role
This is an on-site role based in our Union Square office in New York, NY, five days
a week. We are looking for individuals who are willing to work extended hours,
typically 9 AM to 9 PM or 9 AM to midnight several days a week, with some
flexibility for weekends during critical periods. This role is not suitable for
candidates seeking a 9-5 schedule. Relocation assistance of up to $5,000 is
available for candidates not currently based in New York.
Primary Background:
- Consulting → Startup Growth:
- MBB (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) consultants who transitioned into B2C startup growth roles.
- Experience: 4–7 years total (2+ years consulting + 2–3 years startup growth).
Alternative Backgrounds:
- Investment Banking → Growth Marketing
- Private Equity → Growth Marketing
- Analytical, execution-focused candidates from top-tier finance or consulting who moved into consumer startup growth roles.
Education:
- Prioritize state school grads with MBB experience: Michigan, Berkeley.
- Undergraduate degree from top-tier universities.
Industry Experience:
- B2C startups, preferably consumer products, gaming, or collectibles.
- Paid social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, CRM strategy.
- Hands-on campaign execution and data-driven analysis.
Hard Skills:
- SQL, Python, Analytics Tools
- HubSpot, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads
Soft Skills & Traits:
- Work ethic: Comfortable with 9am–9pm+ hours, weekends during critical periods.
